Epic 40K: Return to Arcadia

All set for tomorrow's Epic 40k game. Four players will fight a 4000 point-per-side game, recreating the race for the Grime Bridge in the Arcadian Reconquest campaign.
Background note provided to the players beforehand:

The agri-world of Arcadia had been one of the first Imperial colonies to fall to Waugh! Tamrine. After nearly two centuries of occupation, Imperium Liberation Forces made planetfall to find crude Ork settlements sprung up like fungi among the ruins of human civilisation. The Liberation Forces included detachments from the Imperial Fists and Space Wolves, while the bulk of the army was made up by the Sons of Arcadia, recruited from communities evacuated when Tamrine first struck.

Four years into the Reconquest, the Orks were on the retreat but fighting over every yard of ground. The Imoerial Command, determined to finish quickly with this operation and move on to reclaim other worlds, devised a knockout blow. The plan involved two stages. The first was an airborne assault to seize the crossing over the river Grime, deep in the Ork rear. The second was a surprise ground offensive at a weak point in the Ork lines, designed to break through to the Grime crossing, penetrate deep into the Ork heartlands and so outflank Tamrine's defence lines.

Stage one of the operation went well, with a rapid breakthrough past the Ork frontline and a successful airlanding near the river crossing by the Space Wolves. But the Orks can recover quickly from surprise and the road to the Grime was long and hazardous. The game starts here.
